Carnaval Parade in Lausanne first photos C’est avec un grand plaisir que l’ association Made in Brasil Suisse en partenariat avec Grees Unidos de Lausanne vous annonce la tenue du Lausanne Carnaval 2023, qui aura lieu dans Esplanade de Montbenon. L’ouverture du carnaval et des stands Le 12, 13 et 14 mai 2023. Nous vous attendons nombreux pour la nouvelle édition du Lausanne Carnaval avec plein d’attraits, et dans une nouvelle déco. In the center of Lausanne (Bel-Air), you will find this medallion on many of the grills along the streets. It informs people that Lake Geneva starts here and reminds people not to throw anything down the grills.

La Fourchette (the Fork)

"The Neuchâtel-based visual artist Jean-Pierre Zaugg (who died in June 2012) designed the work of art, known as La Fourchette (the Fork). It was commissioned to celebrate the Alimentarium’s 10 th anniversary in 1995. A Vevey steelwork contractor, Georges Favre, made the statute in stainless steel. It depicts a monumental 8-metre high table fork, 1.3-metre wide at the tines at its base. The Museum was granted permission to embed it in Lake Geneva, 5 metres off Quay Perdonnet, from April to October the same year, for its History of Objects exhibition". - Alimentarium
